I had the pleasure of working with two sisters who have the most beautiful big brown eyes. The only hard part was getting them to look at the camera! Here's a sneak peek for mom & dad!

Lookie Lookie, here's a little glimpse of what I got....I was so excited to do this shoot! I can't believe this lil one is almost a year old....my how time flies..I hope mommy & daddy love the pics...and yes I made them make out like teenagers(hehe)...

I am so excited ,I finally have a weekend where I get to do a couple of photo shoots. I have been so busy lately with life in general that it seems I have had no free time (besides vacation). I have quite a few projects lined up that I am very excited about, but I am still looking for a few more people interested in "freebies" ... Check back next week & hopefully I'll have some new pics up...

My recent Epiphany...

In the beginning of my photography adventure I was trying so hard to be different & do things that no one else had done....then suddenly I realized no matter how hard i tried something similar was already there....I guess photography has what I would call "trends"... certain props, accessories, etc go through stages of being what's "in" at the moment. The art of photography has been around for so long that everything has already been done, it's up to the individual behind the camera to make something their own...This realization has suddenly made my journey much easier...

Models needed....

If you or anyone you know is interested in having your photos done for free please let me know...I am interested in doing babies, children, weddings, maternity, & families...Since I am not set up as a business yet I don't want to sell the professional prints from the sessions, (that could get me in HUGE trouble), so I plan to put the pics on a disk and give them to the client. At least thats the plan for now...i'll update this if anything changes.

naming my photog....

I ran into a bit of trouble when I was naming my photography....Originally I was going to use my married name...however just as my luck would have it, there is another photog with the same name doing the same type of photography....seriously what are the chances of that?

Back from Vacation...

uggghh... i hate those words... Coming back wouldn't be so bad if we didn't vacation at the place that I would love to live. There is just something about that place that no matter how stressed I am I still feel relaxed, calm, & collected. The salty air, the crashing waves, the beautiful sunsets, kayaking on the sound, the steady breeze, the sand between my toes...ahhh I wish we were still there but oh wait nope reality just smacked me in the face.

I like to look back at some of the first pictures I took to see how i've grown in just a few months. I was amazed at how much learning there is to do with photography...my dslr is a lot more complicated than the lil old point & shoot I was used to, but oh I love it soooooo much more! I'm afraid I've gotten myself into something that can be highly expensive & addictive ....






you can tell by looking at these that I hadn't quite figured out all of the settings and what they meant... I forced myself from the beginning to shoot in manual mode so that I didn't become lazy and depend on automatic so there were quite a few pictures that were WAY off (underexposed, grainy, etc)....Manual is fun once you get the hang of it but in the beginning there were times when i wanted to scream....

so this is it....my very own little blog...While I was on vacation I decided it was time for me to stop procrastinating and just put up a blog already....
